• Who would coordinate the work of the different trades and the various authorities eg building control
• Who would resolve issues are they arose and liaise with me regarding the solution and any additional cost
• Reliable so work was completed on schedule and as per the estimate
• Who did not disappear to another job
• Who was personable
• I felt was trustworthy to be in my home
